LuLu Group International is a multinational conglomerate founded in 2000 by Indian entrepreneur M. A. Yusuff Ali. The company is headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and operates across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe. Its primary focus is on retail, especially through its LuLu Hypermarket chain which has grown to over 250 outlets globally.

The group's retail division includes hypermarkets and supermarkets across the GCC, India, Egypt, Indonesia, and Malaysia. In India, LuLu also operates two of the country’s largest shopping malls – LuLu Mall Kochi and LuLu Mall Thiruvananthapuram. The Egypt operations began in 2010 and have since expanded to three hypermarkets.

LuLu Group’s business portfolio extends beyond retail. It includes international imports and exports through Y International in the U.S. and U.K., hotel ownership under brands like Marriott and Hyatt via Twenty14 Holdings, and major real estate ventures. In 2025, the group opened Kerala’s tallest twin IT towers in SmartCity Kochi, a development with 3.4 million square feet of space and the capacity to support 25,000 IT professionals.

Financially, LuLu Group reported revenues of $7.3 billion in 2023 and launched a significant IPO in 2024 through LuLu Retail Holdings, raising between $1.7 and $1.8 billion. The group employs over 65,000 individuals from more than 42 nationalities and remains under the leadership of its founder and managing director, M. A. Yusuff Ali. In 2024, the company experienced a data breach affecting over 200,000 customer records.
